  1. Get 1 cup Semolina (sooji)
  2. Get 1/4 cup Curd/ Yogurt
  3. Prepare 1/4 tsp Baking powder

  5. Make ready 1/4 tsp Chilli powder or as per taste
  6. Make ready 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  7. Take 1 Onion chopped
  8. Get 1 Green Chilli chopped
  9. Make ready 2 tbsp chopped red capsicum

  11. Make ready Few Coriander leaves chopped
  12. Take 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  13. Get 2 tbsp crushed poppy seeds
  14. Get 1/4 tsp Black sesame seeds

In Wide Mixing bowl pour in Semolina , yogurt , water, frozen peas , grated carrot, ginger, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well. For Tempering : Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds. The cake is ready when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean and when the edges are crisp. Semolina savory cake is so easy make and tastes very delicious.

  1. In a mixing bowl add the curd, baking soda, mix well and keep aside for about 5 mins.
  2. In the curd mixture add the semolina, baking powder, salt as per taste, water and mix well. Keep aside while you make the other ingredients ready.
  3. In a sauce pan heat 1 tbsp of oil. Add the sesame seeds, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves and let it crackle. Remove from heat and pour this over the semolina mixture.
  4. Now add the remaining ingredients, mix them well and make a batter.
  5. Preheat oven @180° for 10 mins. Grease a cake pan and keep aside.
  6. Pour the batter into the greased pan and tap the pan for couple of times.
  7. Bake it in the preheated oven for 30-35 mins. A toothpick inserted should come our clean. Mine took exactly 30 mins.
  8. Remove from oven, let it cool down, invert, cut and serve.
