The ingredients needed to make SAVOURY  Namakhpare:
  1. Get 1.5 cups Maida
  2. Take 1/2 cup Besan
  3. Get as needed Oil

I have left these savoury but you may coat them in sugar if you choose. While they're not quite the same as the deep fried namakpara (naturally), these baked ones are very nice in their own way.

Instructions to make SAVOURY  Namakhpare:
  1. Take a bowl put both the flours in it.Add salt,2-3tsp oil, ajwain, chilli powder and black pepper.Mix well.
  2. Now add little water at a time and knead a tight dough.Keep aside half an hour.
  3. Heat oil in a wok.
  4. Take small ball out from above dough.Roll it over board with rolling pin.Prick with fork all over little.
  5. Now take cutter or a knife and cut into horizontal strips.Then vertical strips.
  6. Put them in hot oil for frying.Fry on slow heat till golden in colour.
  7. Take out once fried on a tissue paper.Store in airtight container.Stays good for a month.
  8. Crisp and savoury Namakpare are ready.
