- Take three tomatoes and wash them very nicely. Remove their top.
- Now make a cross at the top of tomatoes with the help of a knife.
- Put the tomatoes in a boiling water along with one peeled onion.
- Let it simmer for 3 to 4 minutes at medium flame.
- After that sieve the tomatoes and onion and let it cool.
- Remove the skin of the tomatoes if you desire. I am not removing the skin over here.
- When tomatoes and onion cool down completely then grind them in a grinder with 5-7 garlic cloves to a very fine paste.
- Now take soaked dried red chilies. I have soaked the dried red chilies in hot water for at least one hour.
- In the same mixer, grind the dried red chilies coarsely along with the tomato onion garlic paste.
- Now we will cook this paste in a pan with 2 teaspoon sesame oil.
- We will add in the grinded paste into the heated sesame oil and cook for a minute at medium flame.
- Now add sugar, black pepper powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, salt and dry ginger powder to the grinded paste. Mix everything nicely.
- Bring one boil and then cover it with a lid and simmer at low flame for two minutes.
- After two minutes add the vinegar and mix everything nicely and cook for another two minutes.
- Your spicy Momos Chutney is ready !
