- For coating; In a separate bowl add all the ingredients; all purpose flour, corn flour, salt, red chili pepper powder, black pepper, white pepper, ginger powder, garlic powder into a sieve and sieve all together. The sieving process helps to remove all unwanted dirty found in the above mentioned ingredients. Afterwards, we get a smooth mix as seen below.
- Next, when the coating process is fully ready take out the marinated chicken from the refrigerator. You must make sure that the cold water is set beside you.
- Starting the coating; First, place the marinated chicken into the flour mix and coat all the body well. Secondly, place the coated chicken into the cold water, then take it off immediately (This second step helps to hold the flour together on the chicken for the final time or final coating) and Thirdly, re-coat the chicken again inside the flour mix and set aside for frying. Repeat the same steps on all the chicken.
- The chicken are all well coated and ready for frying.
- Next, heat up vegetable or canola oil on a medium heat. When hot place the chicken (make sure you don't over crowd your deep fryer or frying pan because the chicken needs space to fry well). Each sides of the chicken should be fried for 6 minutes. When golden brown take off heat immediately.
- For Mixed Sauce; In a bowl mix all the ingredients; plain yogurt, mayonnaise, garlic powder and lemon juice. Mix or whisk together properly.
- Flake Crispy chicken and Mixed sauce garnished with ketchup is ready
- You can also serve Flake Crispy Chicken with ketchup or whatever you wish or you can eat it alone. It's up to you but for me I combined both together and the taste was MUAH!!!!
