This recipe is a take on the ubiquitous Lebanese shawarma. The fish is grilled quickly (or pan-fried) after marinating in olive oil and spices. Chicken shawarma wrap with Armenian Lavash (flat bread). All plates served with choice of rice or bulgur, lavash, two of our side dishes, grilled tomato and pepper.

Instructions to make Pan Grilled Beef Shawarma:
  1. Make a marinade using oil, minced onions and garlic, cube seasoning, garlic, black pepper and onion power. Mix the beef cut into filets ane marinate for 2hours. Set aside.
  2. Pare and juelline carrots, chop cabbage and soak in salty water for a minute or two.
  3. Make mayonnaise and ketchup spread.
  4. Check beef fillets, take out of marinade, heat grill pan. Grill and cool afterwards. Cut into strips.
  5. Open tortilla bread, and place the inside part outside and spread both mayonnaise and ketchup on them. Take already strained cabbage and carrots and place on each spread tortilla bread and some beef strips.
  6. Roll them up and grill in pan.
  7. Pare and juelline carrots, chop cabbage and soak in salty water for a minute or two.
  8. Make mayonnaise and ketchup spread.
  9. Check beef fillets, take out of marinade, heat grill pan. Grill and cool afterwards. Cut into strips.
  10. Open tortilla bread, and place the inside part outside and spread both mayonnaise and ketchup on them. Take already strained cabbage and carrots and place on each spread tortilla bread and some beef strips.
  11. Roll them up and grill in pan.
