- Peel, cut and wash the yam. 2. Add them to the boiling water. 3. Wash and cut the plantain into two or three but don't peel. Add to the yam. 4. Add salt and cover the lid. Allow to boil.

- Wash and clean the catfish. 6. Sprinkle salt on it and pour boiling water on it. 7. Place inside a clean pot. 8. Blend the fresh pepper and tomatoes and pour on the fish. 9. Add chopped onions, Salt, cubes. 10. Add ginger, garlic, pepper soup spice and cover. Allow to steam. 11. Add little water, let it cook properly and add the scent leaf. 12. Taste, and remove.

- Clean the mortar. Sprinkle salt and add some grounded crayfish. 14. Remove the plantain, peel the skin off and pound till smooth. 15. Add the cooked yam and pound together making a smooth blend. 16. Add the red oil and pound together giving you a very smooth mix. 17. Dish and serve with the hot catfish peppersoup.
