  2. Prepare 2 cups Maida

  7. Take 10-12 Chironji
  8. Prepare as needed Dry fruits (Raisins,almonds)

  1. For the dough - Mix melted ghee with all purpose flour and rub with your palms. - Knead a soft dough using water. - Cover and keep aside.
  2. For the filling - Break or gret the khoya and fry till pinkish in colour. - Let it cool and then add grated coconut, chironji, raisins, almonds sugar and cardamom powder. - And Mix well.
  3. To make gujiya - Knead the dough for a minute. - Divide it into pieces. - Roll each piece into a 4,5 inch disc. - - Keep the rolled disc in the gujiya mould and fill it with about 2 tsp of filling.
  4. Apply the water on the borders and press the mould. - - Remove the extra dough from mould. - - Remove the gujiya from the mould and store in a plate and covere with samp cloth. - - Now Make all the gujiyas in the same way.
  5. Now Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan. - - Deep fry the gujiyas on medium low flame till lightly browned. - - Make sure let the gujiyas cool before storing them in a airtight container.
