  7. Make ready 1/2 " grated ginger
  8. Prepare few curry leaves
  9. Take 1 tsp fresh coriander
  10. Get 1/2 tsp white dal
  11. Take 1/2 tsp chana dal
  12. Get 1 tsp rai
  13. Get 1 tsp heeng
  14. Make ready 1 pouch eno
  15. Prepare 2 tsp oil
  16. Make ready to taste Salt

However I like moong dal, for me it's as good as any other dal. All you need is a good tadka (tempering) and your delicious. Moong dal (pasi parupu) is very nutritious, needs less soaking and is easy to digest. Moong dal dosa can be prepared in a jiffy.

Instructions to make Moong Dal Idli:
  1. Soak moong dal and grind it to a smooth paste.
  2. Add all the chopped veggies to it with curd.
  3. Prepare tadka. Heat oil, add rai and heeng followed by both dals, ginger and curry leaves.
  4. Pour this tadka to dal batter. Mix well. Add eno and salt. Grease the moulds and steam for 30 mins.
  5. Serve in any time of the day with any dip or chutney of your choice.
