- Collect the ingredients.
- Wash the toor dal and rice. Peel the potato, cut in pieces. Cut the tomato in pieces. Chopped green chillies, coriander leaves and grate the ginger.
- Heat ghee in a cooker on medium low flame, add cumin seeds, let it crackle, add green chillies.
- Add ginger, mix well. Add tomato, mix well.
- Add potato, mix well, add toor dal.
- Add rice, turmeric powder and salt.
- Mix well, saute for 3 minutes on medium low flame. Add water, mix well.
- Cover with the lid. Cook for one whistle on medium low flame. Let it cool down, open the lid.
- Add coriander leaves, mix well.
- For tadka: Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a small pan, add cumin seeds, when crackle, add hing. Turn off the flame.
- Pour this tadka to prepared khichdi. Garnish with coriander leaves. Khichdi is ready to serve. Enjoy!!!😊
