The ingredients needed to make Chowmein:
  1. Get 1 cup boiled noodles
  2. Take 1/4 cup sliced carrots
  3. Prepare 1/4 cup sliced onion
  4. Prepare 1/4 cup sliced coloured capsicum
  5. Get 1 tsp soya sauce
  6. Prepare 1/4 tsp vinegar
  7. Get 1/2 tsp green chilli sauce
  8. Take 1/2 tsp red chilli sauce
  9. Get 1 tsp oil
  10. Take to taste Salt

There are also thin and thick noodles. For the best and most authentic homemade Chow Mein like Chinese restaurants or takeouts, I recommend thin, fresh egg noodles. Chow Mein Noodles: Chow mein noodles are made with wheat and egg. They are very similar to Italian pasta noodles and have a wonderful bite to them.

Steps to make Chowmein:
  1. In a wok heat oil
  2. Add sliced onion. Saute for a while.
  3. Add carrots and capsicums. Mix it. Saute it.
  4. Add all sauces. Add vinegar. Mix it.
  5. Add salt.
  6. Add boiled noodles.
  7. Saute on high flame.
  8. Transfer to serving dish.
  9. Serve hot with chilli sauce.

Chow Mein Noodles: Chow mein noodles are made with wheat and egg. They are very similar to Italian pasta noodles and have a wonderful bite to them. Most grocery stores carry dry chow mein noodles in the Asian aisle. But, if you are lucky, you will find pre-cooked chow mein noodles in the refrigerated section that can be thrown straight into. Classic Chinese Chow Mein is one of those dishes that seems elusive, like there is some secret recipe that all Chinese restaurants know and no matter what we do at home it is just never the same.
