  1. Make ready 3/4 cup Green Moon Dal
  2. Get 1/4 cup Parimal Rice
  3. Get 1/2 cup water to soak Dal & Rice
  4. Prepare 8 leaves Spinach
  5. Get 1/2 inch Ginger
  6. Prepare 4 medium sized spicy Green Chillies
  7. Take 1 pinch Salt
  8. Take As per taste Chutney or Sauce of your choice for serving

Heat oil for deep frying in a kadai or pan. Drop spoonfuls of the pakora batter in. Moong Dal Tadka is a simple Indian dal made with split petite yellow lentils. Moong dal reminds me of my time in Scotland.

Instructions to make Moong Dal Pudla:
  1. Soak Dal & Rice in water for 2 hours.
  2. Drain the water, add Rice & Dal to mixer jar. Add spinach, ginger, chillies and salt.
  3. Churn until nice smooth batter is achieved, add water as required.
  4. Heat your pan and pour 1/4 cup of batter. Drizzle some oil, place the lid and let it cook for 5-7 mins. Gradually you'll see the sides peeling from the pan.
  5. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes
  6. Healthy and delicious Pudla are ready, serve with your preferred chutney. You can sprinkle some Chaat masala or Magic masala to enhance the taste. Enjoy your healthy meal!
