The ingredients needed to make Moong Dal Dosa:
  1. Take Dosa
  2. Prepare 1 Cup Whole Moong
  3. Prepare 2-3 tsp Rice Or 2-3 tsp rice flour

  6. Prepare 1/2 tsp jeera
  7. Prepare 1/2 tsp coriander leaves

  10. Take 100 gm grated paneer
  11. Make ready 1 big chopped onion
  12. Make ready 1 chopped green chilli
  13. Make ready as required Chopped coriander leaves (optional)

  15. Get as per taste Red chilli powder
  16. Make ready As required Chat masala (optional)
  17. Take as per required Oil for roasting

It tastes different from regular dosas as it uses moong instead of urad and also has an equal proportion of dal and. Green Moong Dal Dosa can be also made with split mung bean. Rice flour can be substituted by regular rice. Yellow moong dal can also be used, but the taste will be slightly different.

Steps to make Moong Dal Dosa:
  1. Wash whole moong with 2-3 water and soak them for 7-8 hours. If you are using rice in this recipe then soak it along with moong.
  2. Transfer moong and rice to grinding jar, add green chilli, ginger and coriander leaves. Grind them until semi-thick and consistency same as regular dosa batter. (I had coriander leaf paste so I added after grinding)
  3. Now add salt.
  4. If you did not add rice while soaking moong then now add rice flour along with salt.
  5. Mix stuffing section ingredients.
  6. Heat tawa, sprinkle 2-3 drops of water & wipe with tissue so tawa temperature will come down now pour ladle full moog dal batter in the center of tawa and quickly spread it. Sprinkle 4-5 drops of oil. And roast it.
  7. Spread stuffing on the dosa and gently press it. Fold the dosa and transfer to serving plate.
  8. Serve with chutney. Enjoy your healthy Moong Dal Dosa!!!!

Rice flour can be substituted by regular rice. Yellow moong dal can also be used, but the taste will be slightly different. If you have sprouted mung dal, even that can be used to make the batter.
