  17. Prepare as needed Oil
  18. Take as needed Salt
  19. Get 1 chopped Tomato
  20. Take 1/4 tsp Turmeric pwder
  21. Prepare 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
  22. Get 1 pinch Asafoetida
  23. Take 2 Green chillies
  24. Make ready as needed Coriander leaves

  31. Prepare 5 to 6 Ready baati
  32. Make ready as needed Powdered Sugar /Jaggery
  33. Take as needed Ghee
  34. Prepare 1 tsp Cardamom pwder

  1. Make a medium dough mixing all the ingredients of bati. Cover it and rest it for minimum 1/2 an hour.
  2. Heat Appam pan take small piece of a dough and roll it make a ball. Put it in Appe pan, and cook it by turning it till golden brown from all the sides.
  3. Wash all the dals, and soak it in water for 20 minutes then pressure cook it adding turmeric, Asafoetida and few drops of oil.
  4. Whisk the dals, now heat oil in tadka pan add cumin seeds, Asafoetida, green chillies, Curryleaves and saute it. Add chopped tomato salt, and cook it. When tomatoes becomes soft add red chilli pwder, coriander pwder mix it add 1/2 cup water and let it boil now add this tadka in whisked dal. Boil this dal and add lemon juice and chopped Coriander leaves in it.
  5. For making churma.. Mash baati and add powdered sugar,ghee, cardamom pwder and ghee in it.
  6. Serve baati with ghee, dal, churma, salad, pickle, papad,garlic chutany and papad.
