- Take a mixing bowl or big thali and add the flour, sugar, salt and ghee in it and mix it well. Add water as required to knead a smooth but tight dough.
- Take a large ball of the dough and roll it into a thick chapati. Then cut it in diamond shape using a knife.
- Heat up the oil/ghee in a frying pan and add the diamond shape shakkar para in it. Keep the flame on low so the oil won't be too hot and the paras will be cooked from both inside and outside. Keep stirring it so the paras won't be burnt too quickly. Keep the flame low and cook them for a few minutes until they turn golden brown.
- For heart shape puri, I rolled the dough into a thin chapati and cut it into a heart shape using a heart shape bowl and fry it on the low flame till it turn golden brown.
- For Gujiya, I took a small portion of the dough and rolled into a thin chapati. I put the gulkand and dryfruits in the middle of it and rolled it into half. I put the pressure on the sides and locked them using a fork.
- Once done fry it on low flame for a couple minutes till it turn golden brown. Now enjoy the sweet gujiya and shakkar para and give your heart to your love ones and enjoy holi.
