Instructions to make Navaratri Special Thali(Puri,Kale Chane,Sevai Kheer):
- For Puri : Take wheat flour in bowl,add little salt and oil and mix well and then pour little water make the dough.Keep it to rest for 5 mins.
- Take lemon size dough and roll it using pin into puri.
- Heat oil in pan and drop the puri and fry on both sides.Remove it on paper towel.
- For Chana: Soak chana for 4-5 hours.Then pressure cook them for 3-4 whistle.
- Grind chopped tomatoes,green chillies,coconut into smooth paste and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in saucepan.Add cuminseeds and fry little,then add the ground paste and fry till it leaves the oil.Then add all the dry masalas and mix well.
- Add boiled chana and mix well.Cook for 10mins on low flame,so that all the masalas will blend with chana and becomes dry.Add little water if required.once it is done remoce from flame and serve with puri.
- Kheer: Heat ghee in pan and roast cashew nuts and keep it aside.Then roast sevai and keep it aside.
- Boil milk in a saucepan.Once it boils add sevai and mix well.Cook till the sevai become soft. Then add sugar and mix.Add the fried cashew nuts and cardamon powder and switch off the flame.Garnish with chopped almonds and serve hot with puri and chana.
