Bhapa paneer is a Bengali delicacy which is made with mustard paste and poppy seeds paste.
To get started with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few components. You can have posto bhapa (steamed khus-khus), with mustard oil using 8 ingredients and 4 steps. Here is how you cook it.
The ingredients needed to make Posto Bhapa (Steamed Khus-Khus), with Mustard Oil:
- Make ready 1/4 Cup Posto Seeds (Washed & Pre-soaked in lukewarm water for about 30 mins time & then, finely blended to a smooth paste with a little salt 🧂 & 2 Green Chillies🌶)
- Take 3 tbsps Freshly Grated Coconut
- Take To Taste Salt
- Prepare 2-3 tbsps Mustard Oil
- Get 1/8 tsp Sugar
- Get 2 Green Chillies (Finely Chopped)
- Take 2 Green Chillies (Blended while making the Posto Paste)
- Take 1 Onion (Thinly Sliced)
Soak posto in a little water for an hour or so. Then grind it into a coarse paste with the green chillies in a mixer. Add the Kala jeera and red chilli. Add water for a little gravy and cook on low flame till done.
Steps to make Posto Bhapa (Steamed Khus-Khus), with Mustard Oil:
- Take the aforementioned blended smooth Posto Paste, now add into it- Salt, Sugar, Chopped Green Chillies & Sliced Onions and the Mustard Oil
- Mix all of them really nice until all the ingredients are well combined and transfer it to a microwaveable bowl with it's own similar cover (not any plastic cover) & cover it with an aluminium foil and then, put it's lid on it, tightly
- Now, place it in a preheated oven @180C, for about 10-12 mins time, after placing the steaming bowl in a large pan, that’s sufficiently filled with water but the water shouldn’t touch the microwaveable bowl, when placed inside it while it’s in the steaming process
- Well, the very decadent & delectable Posto Bhape is ready to be served absolutely hot with equally hot steamed plain rice
