Aloo Paratha (lit. "potato paratha") is a bread dish originating from the Indian subcontinent. It is a breakfast dish originated from the Punjab region. I tried Aloo paratha only recently, all these days I felt it was hard enough to make. And with stuffing inside I thought I would surely mess it up….
Instructions to make Aaloo Paratha platter:
- Take a big bowl Knead a soft dough and keep aside.
- Take another bowl add mashed potatoes along with all spices and herbs (coriander leaves, green chillies, chopped onion).
- Make a small balls from the Dough roll it properly like Puri size.
- Keep the filling ball in between the dough circle and bring the ends together and seal them.
- Press the circle slightly and dust and roll gently to make a circle.
- Roll the paratha from the sides to make sure the filling reaches to the sides and is distributed evenly. Heat a griddle.
- Once the griddle is hot, transfer the paratha on the hot griddle and cook until brown spots appear on the base of the paratha.
- Flip the paratha and apply ghee on it. - Flip again and apply ghee on other side as well.
- Press the paratha using a ladle and fry until it is nice browned from both sides.
- Serve with hot butter, green chutney, pickle, and curd. Taste is yummy 😋.
I tried Aloo paratha only recently, all these days I felt it was hard enough to make. And with stuffing inside I thought I would surely mess it up….
