Tricolor platter is one of the most popular of current trending foods in the world. It’s simple, it is fast, it tastes yummy. It is enjoyed by millions every day. Tricolor platter is something which I have loved my entire life. They’re fine and they look wonderful.

The ingredients needed to make Tricolor platter:
- Make ready 1 cup rice (basmati /sona masuri/kolam rice)
- Get 1/2 cup peas
- Prepare 2 medium size onion
- Prepare 2 green chilli (for both dal and peas sabji)
- Take 1/2 teaspoon kasuri methi
- Make ready 2 tablespoon spring onion green
- Prepare pinch hing little bit (for both dal and peas sabji)
- Take to taste salt for both dal and peas sabji
- Make ready 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder for dal
- Make ready 1/2 cup cooked masoor dal
- Make ready 1 green chilli
- Make ready 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- Get 1 grated carrot
- Make ready 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste (both for dal and peas curry)
- Take As needed cloves to garnish
- Take 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- Take 1/2 tsp Jeera
- Prepare 1/2 Tsp Saunf
- Make ready as needed oil for tadka
Steps to make Tricolor platter:
- For peas curry: Take a kadai add mustard seeds jeera saunf hing one green chilli onion and ginger garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon and spring onions. Take two teaspoons of peas and blend in mixy jar to get a paste. Now add the paste to the onions.Then add peas and cook well with salt. Take it in a bowl and garnish with roasted kasuri methi.
- For dhal: Pressure cook masoor dhal for 5 whistles let it become mushy like paste and keep aside. Now take oil add mustard jeera hing turmeric powder green chilli and saute till it splutters. Then add onions to it with salt and ginger garlic paste. Once onions are well cooked add grated carrot(keep little for garnish. Once the carrot it cooked add masoor dhal to it with salt and cook well.Once cooked take it out in a serving bowl add lemon juice mix well and garnish with grated carrot.
- For rice: Take one cup of rice pour in 2 cups of water add a pinch of salt to it and cook for two whistles(This is in case of Basmati rice) In case of sona masuri or kolam rice. add 3 cups of water and let it for 5 whistles. Garnish with clove and serve with dhal and subji.
- Note : This will not be spicy but has great flavour when all three are mixed together.
