  2. Prepare 2 cups Warm Water

  5. Make ready 3 tbsp Powdered Sugar
  6. Get 1/2 tsp Salt
  7. Take 1/2 tsp Ghee (For Greasing Plate)

Instructions to make Coorg Style Paputtu:
  1. Firstly, wash the idli rava 3 times with water. Add water to it and soak for 30 minutes.
  2. In a small vessel, add 2 cups of water and heat it till it gets warm. Add coconut milk powder, sugar and salt. Stir it well. Strain it and set aside. You can use freshly grated coconut. Grind with 2 cups of water. Use the first thick extract. 3/4th of 1 Coconut. Use only the white part. 1/4th can be used for sprinkling on top of the batter.
  3. After 30 minutes of resting time, press and remove the water from the soaked idli rava.
  4. Take a plate and grease it with ghee. Add coconut milk to the rava idli and pour it in the plate. The batter should not be thick. It should be liquid type.
  5. Take freshly grated coconut and garnish it on top.
  6. Take a pan. Add 3 to 4 cups of water. Place a stand in the pan. Turn the heat on and let the water start boiling.
  7. Reduce the flame to low. Place the batter filled plate on the stand and cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  8. After 20 minutes, check with a toothpick. If it comes out clean, means it is done.
  9. Remove from pan and allow it to set for sometime. Cut into desired shape.
