  3. Take 3-4 tomatoes (puree)
  4. Get 2-3 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  5. Get 1 tsp Lemon juice
  6. Get 1 tsp cumin seeds
  7. Get 1-2 bay leaves,
  8. Make ready 3-4 cloves
  9. Make ready Small cinnamon sticks,

  12. Take 1 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
  13. Prepare 1/2 tsp cumin powder,

  17. Make ready 1-2 tsp kasuri methi
  18. Get 4 tbsp oil

I love chicken and my family too. This chicken recipe is from Punjab, India. Punjab is located in northern part of India. Making sure onions and peppers turn soft.

Steps to make Gravy Chicken (punjabi style):
  1. Wash the chicken. Marinate it with 1 tsp lemon juice,1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp ginger garlic paste. Keep a side for 20 minutes.
  2. Take a woke heat 2-3 tsp oil. Add cumin seeds,bay leaves,cloves,cinnamon sticks, black pepper, fry it for 1 minute. Add onion, ginger garlic paste. Roast it for 3-4 minutes on medium heat.
  3. Transfer it in a bowl, allow to cool. Take a mixer jar grind the roasted onion masala in it. Add 3-4 tsp water.
  4. In same wok heat 3-4 tsp oil. Roast grinded masala in it for 2-3 minutes. Add tomato puree, salt,red chilli powder,cumin powder, coriander powder and turmeric powder. Roast till oil separates.
  5. Add merinated chicken. Mix it with masala. Stir and roast for 4-5 minutes. on low heat.
  6. Now add 1 glass water. Cover the lid. Cook it for 15 -20 minutes on low flame.
  7. Add garam masala and kasuri methi. Taste the seasoning. Turn off the flame. Transfer it in serving bowl. Garnish with fresh Coriander leaves.
