This dish gets its name karahi or kadhai paneer since it is cooked in a special Indian wok called kadai which is one of the most basic kitchen essentials of Indian Cuisine. In a pan add butter, after it is heated add chopped panner, fry until it turns light brown.

- In a pan add 2tbsp oil as it heats add jeera, shahi jeera, masala elachi, green elachi, black pepper, teej pata and red chilli saute them for a min then add sliced onion saute it till it turns pink in colour
- Now add tomato saute it then add garlic and cashew nuts mix them cover it with lid and cook it for another 2-3min. Then turn off the gas. Allow the mixture to cool down. Transfer this into mixer jar grind and make a smooth paste.
- Now in a pan add remaining oil as oil heats transfer the paste and cook it till oil separates. Then add salt and coriander powder and mix them.
- Now add water to the gravy let it come to boil slower the gas cover it with lid cook it for 5min.
- Now add amul butter and fresh cream(here I have used fresh malai of milk) stir it for 1-2min
- Now add panner cubes and panner masala cook it for another 2-3min on lower flame after 3min turn of the gas. Gravy is ready garnish it with coriander leaves and serve it hot with roti or jeera rice.
