It is a delicious and popular dish in Nigerian homes and parties. It is usually served with rice dishes but it also makes a perfect small chops • Slice the red, green and yellow bell peppers.
Steps to make DELICIOUS GIZ_LIVDODO (NIGERIAN STEWED GIZZARDS, LIVERS AND PLAN:
- Wash and Clean Gizzards Thoroughly, place inside pot and season to taste
- Wash liver, season to taste and cook in another pot
- Wash and peel plantain, cut in cubes and fry till golden brown
- Chop up cooked liver and Gizzard, set aside. Slice onions, tomatoes and bell peppers separately and set aside
- Add 4 tablespoons of cooking oil in a pan, Stir-fry the onion for 2 minutes. Add dice tomatoes and Minced Habanero pepper(Shombo). Fry for 3-5minutes
- If too thick, add liver and gizzard stock or Water. Add Seasoning cube, curry, thyme and salt to taste.
- Add gizzard and liver and fry for 3-5minutes. Add plantains and diced bell peppers
- Stir thoroughly, leave to simmer for 3-5minutes. Serve and Enjoy😊
