Instructions to make Plain Breakfast Upma:
- Heat oil and add in the Mustard Seeds. After they splutter well, add in the Bengal Gram, Curry Leaves, finely chopped Garlic and Onion. Saute for about 2 minutes on a medium high heat.
- Next add in the Peanuts and Green Chillies. Let the Peanuts cook till the raw aroma goes away. In about 10 minutes time, add Semolina and roast for 2-3 minutes by stirring it in between. Add hot water about 2 cups to it and mix well.
- Cover and simmer for the next 5 minutes. Garnish with chopped Coriander Leaves and serve it hot with any Chutney, Pickle or just as is.
