- First of all i wash the saseme seed and remove all stones and sands,i dry it up,then i transfer 1/2 cup of the rough sesame seed,toast on medium heat for about 5 minutes while stir constantly with a spoon,grind until you get a fine powder,,mix half tablespoon of water with a pinch of safron thread keep it aside activate the yeast with 1 teaspoon of sugar.
- Mix all the dry ingredients together,the flour,roasted sesame seed powder,baking powder,ground anise and cinnamon,pinch of salt,use hand to mix all the dry ingredients together
- Add the olive oil+veg oil,the activated yeast
- Melted butter egg yolk continue mixing until well Incorporated,add white venigar and the safron water,add half cup of warm water little by little until you get a dough ball the dough should not be sticky place the dough on your working surface and knead for about 5 minutes until it become soft and elastic
- Use knife to cut the dough into 6 portion,take each and roll into a thin layer
- Use a pastry cutter to cut even square
- In each square make four evenly length wide cuts.To shape the chebakia take coloum 1,3 &5 using the middle finger of your right hand,then using your left😂 hand flip coloum 2 and 4 with the coloum inside out
- And you will get a flower arrange in a tray to rest before frying,deep fry in hot oil till golden brown
- Deep the chebakia in honey drain then sprinkle sesame seed
- Voila our chebakia is ready serve and enjoy
