  5. Get 1/2 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  6. Get 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
  7. Prepare as required Loads of dry fruits like cashew, almonds, raisins [powdered & chopped]
  8. Make ready As required Grated & roasted coconut for garnishing

Papaya Halwa is a delicious Indian recipe served as a Dessert. Use a heavy or non-stick pan. Heat pan, add khova and keep stirring till light pink in colour. This papaya halwa is a healthy sweet recipe compared to other halwa.

  1. Just like any other halwa recipe, heat ghee and get your choiced dry fruits quickly cooked in it.Powder half the portion and chop the rest.Keep it separate!
  2. To the ghee add mashed overripe papaya and let it cook for a couple of minutes.
  3. Add homemade chenna and mix it well to cook. In some time papaya will release it's juice and the chenna also will show cooking.I used overripe papaya and needed no more sugar/jaggery to it, you can add jaggery as per your sweet tongue parameter.
  4. Mix and cook everything well. Add the powdered fried nuts, cardamom powder and nutmeg powder.
  5. Spread the halwa uniformly on a flat surface and sprinkle chopped nuts and roasted coconut shreds. Cut it in your desired shape, serve. Eat enjoy!!
